Welcome to Wilsonton Agricultural Field Study Centre (WAFSC)

WAFSC is situated in Toowoomba on the Darling Downs which is one of Australia’s most highly productive agricultural regions. It is part of Toowoomba State High School being based at Wilsonton Campus. At WAFSC we are committed to providing a high quality, practical and safe learning environment for Toowoomba schools about Agriculture and related industries. Our agricultural curriculum is modern and innovative and together with our industry partnerships we aim to provide the best learning experience and outcomes for our students. We are also committed on improving our school’s attainment, achievement and transitions for all students by focussing on:

  • Great teaching: Developing best practice using research and teacher teams;

  • Great programs: Implementing modern, innovative agricultural curriculum as well as promoting a high quality Queensland curriculum in all other areas;

  • Great literacy: Really focusing on the teaching of reading comprehension in a school-wide approach; and

  • Great school: Implementing a new student leadership model, renewing facilities and celebrating student and staff achievement.
